HEIGHAM PARK RANGERS v DW BLUE
Dereham Wanderers Blues U10 looked to maintain their recent good form travelled to Norwich to play Heigham Park Rangers. Both teams battled hard early on but Dereham soon started to play a better game and created lots of chances, unfortunately not one managed to hit the back of the net. The second quarter started in a similar fashion, it was an even contest with few clear cut chances until an unfortunate clearance from a corner resulted in an own goal by Dereham. Dereham did not let this affect their game and they fought hard into the third quarter with some excellent play by the midfield allowing Josh B to continue to pressure Heigham's defence.The match remained closely contested and full of passion while the clock ticked away into the final quarter. Heigham did manage to scare Dereham late on when they looked like they were going to score a second goal however Byron brilliantly cleared the ball just as it looked certain to cross the line. Still Dereham pressed forward into the dying seconds of the match but despite their efforts were unable to find the all important equaliser. Final Score Heigham 1 Dereham Blues 0.
